Every June, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity transforms the French Riviera into the global epicenter of experiential marketing. And this year, BizBash seemingly saw it all, from floating ice cream parlors and AI-powered villages to floral playgrounds and immersive brand worlds. The festival is one of the industry’s top tentpole events each year, and it proves to be an invaluable study on where experiential is headed next.
While on site this year, BizBash representatives witnessed more than 130 experiential marketing moments and interviewed more than 20 experiential event professionals on the ground representing both brands—including Canva, Reddit, LinkedIn, iHeartMedia, The Wall Street Journal, and Pinterest—and major agencies.
The findings from those experiences and conversations are included in the following pages, and are an indication of how the experiential industry is navigating an age defined by AI pressures, shifting audience expectations, work-life balance conversations, and ROI confusion. |
